We all have those songs that automatically make our shoulders shimmy. Regardless of where we are or what we are doing, there are certain songs that evoke nostalgic memories of getting down in the club- Save the Last Dance style – and cause an intense urge to do the dougie, the stanky leg or the shmoney dance that cannot be quieted or tamed. Believe me, I have tried. For me, that song is Shoulder Lean, a Young Dro classic featuring T.I. – I dare you to listen to it and NOT move. Try it. Go on with your bad self.
Although this 2006 classic makes my shoulders shimmy, it is not the only thing that makes me want to party like it’s 1999.
You’re now tuned into the mother#^@%*&in greatest – that’s if you did what all the cool kids did last week and entered in your email to get updates from suddhara.com. If you haven’t, you are dead to me. KIDDING. But you should probably go ahead and do it now. I will wait.

It’s been more than a year since I sat down at the computer to write something other than a legal memorandum. I could give many excuses as to why – planning the Romyna2015 wedding celebrations took every extra minute of my day, my full-time job intensified and free time became a thing of the past and post-marriage travels took us to Jamaica, Costa Rica and all around the country for weddings to celebrate our friends and family, leaving very little time to focus on anything else but the basics.
Though these things did bring immense joy to my world, as well as a little chaos, they are not responsible for why I have been absent from suddhara.com. That is much harder to type on paper.
Casual Friday at the office is a showcase of the latest trends, and my favorite day of the work week for many reasons other than the fringe booties I am wearing.
Today is my 29th birthday – the last good birthday before I turn the big 3-0. Birthdays are always a time of reflection and since I am not spending this year crying in the shower (reserving that activity for next year), I have been thinking a lot about my friends, my family, and how much has changed since I was splashing around in the inflatable pool in my parents’ front yard. See below for photo evidence. Read More
